Why work here rather than around us

Our fee is Waived on your first job, charged to the poster, and it falls the longer you work here — down to 5%. Your first job carries no fee at all. Here is what the fee actually buys you:

• Escrow — The money is held before work starts. Off-platform, you are trusting a stranger to pay you afterwards.
• Dispute help — If the brief is argued about, a person here looks at it. Outside, there is nobody.
• Your rating — Work done here builds a verified record. Work done outside builds nothing you can show the next client.
• Verified skills — A mwalimu assessment only counts on work booked here.
• Guaranteed pay — If a poster vanishes after delivery, we still pay you. Outside, you carry that loss alone.
• A falling fee — Every job here lowers your fee. Leaving resets you to nothing.

Going outside is your choice and we will not chase you for it. We would rather tell you plainly what you are giving up.
